Rail Hub

RailHub provides the rail industry with a single, digital workspace that facilitates better collaboration and efficiency in all areas of planning and delivering work on or near the line. From major projects and renewals, to maintenance and minor works, RailHub offers a suite of integrated and configurable applications that ensures work is completed efficiently and safely, with the right levels of accountability, authorisation and audit.

The evolution of RailHub began as a ‘coming together’ of work methodologies, tasks and their associated risks, alongside the planning and management of safety related risks working on or near the line (SSoW). Available via a combination of desktop and mobile (Android and iOS devices), RailHub consists of several components including:

  • Safe System of Work Planning (SSoW)
  • Work Package Plans, Tasks & Risk Briefings (WPP/TB)
  • National Hazard Directory (NHD)
  • eTrac-GIS & Schematics on Demand
  • Mobile App store (eCOSS, Access Points, Incident Reporting, Construction Diary, Manual Handling Checklist, Hand Arm Vibration (HAVs) HOTs Work Permit, Vehicle Checklist, Task Brief etc.)
NHD

The National Hazard Directory (NHD), brings together all known risks and hazards found on or around Network Rail’s infrastructure, including: buried services (gas, water and electric), hazardous substances, high vandalism areas, prohibitions and restrictions - all you need to know is your location, and the system will do the rest

eTrac-GIS

eTrac-GIS is a digital mapping platform that has the genuine potential to transform how the rail industry operates. Using asset data from multiple sources, such as ellipse, CARRS, Track Centre Line , OPAS and the National Hazard Directory, eTrac-GIS automatically generates schematics from geospatial data – otherwise known as geomatics – on demand, giving users the opportunity to view, annotate, share and update safety critical information in a unique way, using any device.

Key features of the eTrac-GIS platform include the ability to:

  • Search for information by location, asset ID, local name or description.
  • Generate geospatial schematics (geomatics) on demand from all data sources.
  • Create, show and hide layers of asset data.
  • Report, track and manage changes to data – in real time.
  • Upload and align related information, such as inspection reports, photographs and videos to existing assets.
  • Create and manage individual image libraries.
  • Add rules, workflow and user permissions.
